A love for tradition are the only words to describe IL Buco. Located in Manhattan’s Noho district, IL Buco was originally an antique store that catered to dignitaries, artists and host to many writers including the legendary Edgar Allen Poe. After standing the test of time, it eventually became the property of it’s current owners, Donna Lennard and Alberto Avalle, who transformed it into a beautiful Mediterranean Restaurant. Featuring crafted tables, chairs, chandeliers and a wine cellar, as well as imported products for purchase such as Aged Balsamic Vinegar, Sea Salt, Spices, and Virgin Olive Oil, Il Buco is “a vacation to Old Italy”. Framed on a cobblestone street, the restaurant presents a cozy atmosphere of romance and fine dinning in a antique setting, with a menu of traditional Italian cuisines along with a magnificent international wine selection. Receiving the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2000 and 2001, we guarantee that “IL Buco is unlike any place that you will ever see or ever forget.
