You know it’s a bad state in internet modeling when the brightest news is a gimmick model with a bad ‘do stretching her “talents” (very loosely used term in this article) into the music field for the embarrassment that we know as “Rump Shaker,” an R&B video that displays more of what’s wrong with today’s modeling community than it does with the outlook of expanding careers.

Now some people, fans or maybe everyone may disagree with this philosophy but its time for the talent-less to make a big splash in the mainstream modeling world. No, I am not talking about the website market or the 3-5 second feature in your favorite rapper’s music video. I’m talking about multi-media. The big market models need to be successful for this ‘profession’ to at least stay afloat at a time where…let’s face it: other than the usual suspects that have been dominating publications since 2005 (and 2 of them have since retired but yet still continue to dominate conversations all over the nation), there has been absolutely no action from the web market. The problem though for the industry is no one is no longer viewing tons of over-airbrushed photos.
In an age where video clip footage and DVD’s have officially dominated the market, the struggling internet modeling community has somehow managed to miss out on the “upgrade” of today’s new wave. Who still waits to pay $19.95 per month to view 40-50 rushed photos of stereotypical poses from an uninspired college student who is otherwise unrecognizable in any neighborhood, when you can pocket half of that amount and purchase the latest DVD release from one of the bigger known mainstream caliber names in the industry?
