Don’t let those drop dead gorgeous looks fool you for just one second. Cali native and video vixen Krishelle Brown is all smarts, already graduating from college before being old enough to legally drink. We caught up with Krishelle in the middle of the California Sun as she discusses school, the import scene, and the things men will do just to get some attention.

So let’s get this straight – you’re finishing college early? What were you studying and how did you get to this point?
Actually, I just graduated from California State University Hayward on June 11th! I am very proud to be one of the few college students to graduate at the young age of 20. My major was Mass Communication with an option in Public Relations. I am very hard-working, and school is my priority. I want to have a good future, and I know that education is the key! I am actually going back to school to further my studies and intellectual opportunities. I also just got accepted as a marketing/ public relations intern for a non- profit organization which prevents child abuse.

Are men intimidated by you?
I don’t think so. I always have a smile on my face, and most people find me very comfortable to talk to. Most of my friends describe me as a very down-to-earth individual.

Do your looks reduce people to acting like idiots around you?
Oh gush! There are lots of idiots out there! There are plenty of jealous, insecure, and rude people in the world. I think that no matter how good-looking a person is, he or she will still meet and deal with someone ignorant. I just ignore them because I don’t let them rule my life! I actually like the attention they are giving me… haha… Most of the discourteous people I encounter are the ones who are jealous of me!

You are involved in one of the toughest mediums of modeling, which is the import scene. How do you deal with the stereotypical comments that are made, as well as growing thick skin?
I would have to say that I am one of the most conservative models in the import scene. This is what makes me unique! Once people get to know me better, they usually say, “Whoa! She is really, really different! She is not what I thought she was.” I admit that I like to look sexy! Of course! I want to be able to show what I got while I am young and confident. At the same time, I know my limitations and I do not do nudes. My intelligence is my power against the stereotypical comments that they might make about me. I am a grown-up woman who could careless about what other people say because I know myself better than those close-minded people do! I am a very strong person, and their opinions don’t really affect me. I will do whatever I want to do, and no one can ever stop me! All I care about are my fans and supporters who have been there for me!

You say that good looks and loads of money shouldn’t contribute to being happy in life. What makes you happy, and how does another person (whether friend or significant other) keep you happy around them?
My family and friends make me happy. Getting good grades in school make me happy! Haha.. What a nerd?! Well, I like spending time with my loved-ones. I like to sing karaoke and watch movies. I also like to go clubbing, and I love eating!!!

The Bay Area seems real fun as hell. What’s a typical sunny summer day like for you?
Summer is my most favorite season! I can do whatever I want to do and wear whatever clothes I want to use. You can probably find me at a restaurant, mall, or park eating my favorite strawberry ice cream!

My staff all looked puzzled when they found out that you don’t cook… but for the men, that just means that we would have to take you out to eat in a swanky restaurant, and nobody is complaining at the thought of taking you out in public. Do you think that too much is made about the old school characteristics of “the typical wifey type” in terms of having to be a nice cook, having to be a neat/clean freak, things like that?
Yes, I am totally against the so-called traditional gender role. I mean if we really think about it, women work 10 more hours longer than men each day. Nowadays, not only are women expected to support their family financially, they are also obligated to clean the house, cook, and take care of the kids. Isn’t that unfair?! Men and women should have equal responsibilities and partnerships. Men should not expect ladies to be superwomen. We are queens and princesses, and men should serve us, right? haha… Just kidding! But don’t worry boys… I am willing to learn how to cook. I am actually planning to take up some cooking classes someday. Haha..!

What do you want to do in about 5 years?
I would like to become a successful public relations manager in a big corporation in about 5 years.

What about a man makes you want to scream from the rooftops?
I love intelligent men with nice smile! Those are the sexiest!!! I need one of those!

What do you do in your more passive moments?
I lay down in my bed while I listen to slow music.

Tell me a not-so-pretty story about you.
What about the struggles that I had to go through? Okay, well here is an interesting story about me. I arrived in the United States about 7 years ago with my Mom. It was very difficult because she is a single parent. We had very little wealth. As a result, she had to go back to college and work at the same time to earn money. During that time, I also had to learn how to speak and write English properly. It was very hard to adjust. Despite of all these hardships, we still managed to survive. I graduated with highest honors in high school and received a President’s Education Award certificate. After high school, I was discovered to become a model. I just recently graduated from a prestigious university at the age of 20.

Looks like you love the cars. Ever think about doing a race of your own at an event?
No, I am actually a very safe driver. I love big, American cars and trucks!

What’s next for Krishelle Brown?
I would like to continue modeling while still going to school to further my studies. I would also like to travel in different countries and visit exotic places. I am about to do an internship this summer to help families prevent child abuse and gain more experience as a public relations person. What else? I am very ambitious. I am planning to buy my own house in about 2 years and be a self-made millionaire by the time I reach the age of 30. Trust me! It will come true! :=)
